BJP emerges as single largest party, slap for Gupkar Gang

Anurag Singh Thakur, Union Minister of State for Finance and Corporate Affairs, in-charge of Jammu and Kashmir DDC elections, has stated, “democracy has bloomed J&K and the peoples ballot has emerged mightier than the bullet ! India’s flag and peoples will are the winners.”
Sh Thakur said, “I thank the people of J&K for choosing the ballot, for rejecting the boycott and reposing their faith in Indian democracy. I also extend my wishes to all the election officials who ensured a free and fair election.”

Sh Thakur further said, “the BJP has emerged with a historic mandate, those who said we’d never get a single seat are not hiding for cover. We have not only received a decisive mandate and vote share across the region but also ensured democracy is established. Gupkar Gang said no one would wave the Indian flag; they have been rejected, today the people have not only held the Tiranga high but also voted for the lotus to blossom!

Along with our supporters we will appoint the Chairpersons and quickly begin the work of development and economic transformation.”
Sh Thakur expressed his firm commitment, “the BJP promised development, we will deliver on our promise and vision. We will leave no stone unturned to transform this region into an investment hub, a hot spot for tourism to flourish and expand regional trade. A new era of development, democracy and decisive leadership will begin in J&K.”

BJP president for J&K Ravinder Raina said the election results are a befitting reply to Mehbooba Mufti who had refused to unfurl the Tricolour.
“Independent candidates have polled more votes than the Congress and the PDP. The same Mehbooba Mufti who’d refused to unfurl the Tricolour has got a befitting reply today,” he said .

Mehbooba Mufti’s tricolour comment stoked a major controversy as she had said she will hoist the tricolour only when the state flag of erstwhile Jammu and Kashmir will be allowed.

This was the first-ever poll in Jammu and Kashmir after it was turned into a union territory. To contest this election, the local parties of Jammu and Kashmir came together and formed Gupkar Alliance, which is near the majority mark. The alliance has won 110 seats but the BJP has emerged as the single-largest party by getting 75 seats and the maximum vote share in Jammu and Kashmir.

“The trust which the J&K people have put in Modiji, the support which they’ve shown to his policies and to his work to strengthen the democratic principles, are the reasons why BJP has got 3 seats in the Kashmir Valley,” ( PTK )
