Srinagar, Oct 10: The Department of Psychology, University of Kashmir, observed World Mental Health Day 2025 by organizing a series of awareness and interactive sessions aimed at promoting mental wellness and reducing the stigma surrounding mental health issues.

This year’s theme, “Mental Health for All: Strengthening Community Care and Support,” served as the focus of the day-long programme, which brought together students, faculty, and experts from diverse disciplines to share insights on emotional resilience, stress management, and the importance of psychological well-being in everyday life.

Head of the Department, faculty members, and guest speakers emphasized the need for open dialogue on mental health, highlighting the university’s ongoing commitment to creating a supportive and inclusive environment for students and staff.

The event also featured student-led activities, poster presentations, and discussions on coping strategies, reflecting the growing awareness of mental health as an essential component of overall well-being.
