Heavy rainfall across Kashmir has triggered flash floods and landslides in recent days, disrupting several activities in the valley, including film shoots. However, actor Sadia Khateeb’s upcoming film Silaa, currently being shot in Gulmarg and Dal Lake, has managed to avoid any halt.

Speaking about the situation, Sadia shared that the crew has adapted to the weather conditions by rescheduling certain scenes. “While Shikara rides are temporarily on a halt, we chose to shoot other sequences instead of stopping the schedule,” she said.

The actor, who hails from Bhaderwah in Jammu & Kashmir, described filming in her home state as a deeply personal experience. “Whenever I hear we’re shooting in Kashmir, it feels like working from home — this place is home to me in so many ways,” she remarked, calling it a true “homecoming.”| Kashmir Pen
