This Authority has put into operation four no.’s of Weed Harvesters and other allied Lake Cleaning Machinery in various areas viz, Shalimar, Nishat, Nehru Park, Cheshmashahi Doldemb, Chutkul, Nageen inside Dal – Nigeen Lake.

The available machines with Authority are insufficient to take care of deweeding of whole of Dal-Nigeen Lake and it is difficult to maintain about 16.35 Sq Kms of area needed to be deweeded. Therefore in order to maintain the glory of the Lake, the Authority has initiated tendering for manual deweeding as well which is likely going to be started from Ist June onwards.
