DGP sanctions Rs 2.30 crore for 222 police personnel

Srinagar, March 12, 2020

The J&K Police on Wednesday sanctioned Over Rs 2.30 crore welfare loan in favour of 222 force personnel.

A statement said the funds have been sanctioned out of Central Police Welfare Fund (CPWF). “Under this order welfare loan/relief of Rs 2,30,40,000 has been sanctioned in favour of 222 personnel, by Director General of Police (DGP), Dilbag Singh,” said the statement.

It said Rs 58.40 lakh loan and relief was provided to 47 police personnel for self treatment and treatment of their dependents, suffering from different ailments.

It said Rs 1.60 crore was sanctioned to 160 personnel to meet the expenses of their marriage and marriage of their dependents while six personnel have been provided loan in connection with mundan/circumcision/yegnopavit of their wards.

The statement said the DGP also sanctioned Rs one lakh each in favour of nine police personnel to meet the expenses of their wards on technical, professional and higher education.
