Saying that people in Jammu and Kashmir are suffering, chief minister Mehbooba Mufti on Monday in an apparent message to Center said that dialogue with Pakistan is imperative to end the bloodshed.
Without naming anyone, Mehbooba said that she knows that she will be labeled “anti national” for her statement. She added “that doesn’t matter”.
Stressing on the importance of dialogue, Mehbooba said that war is not an option to resolve the issues.
Mehbooba took to social networking website Twitter to send her message across.
“Dialogue with Pakistan is necessary if we are to end bloodshed. I know I will be labelled anti-national by news anchors tonight but that doesn’t matter. The people of J&K are suffering. We have to talk because war is not an option,” Mehbooba wrote on Twitter.
There has been continuous flare up between India and Pakistan along the border in the recent past, and there has also been increase in militant attacks in the state.
