SRINAGAR, April 03 : Naseer Ahmad Wani, Director of School Education Kashmir (SEK), carried out a series of early morning surprise inspections at multiple schools in Srinagar today, within the first half hour of their opening, officials said.

The Director personally verified the attendance of teaching staff at Government Middle School Aloochi Bagh and later joined students during the morning prayer, they added.

Interacting with the staff, Wani stressed that the initial moments of school opening set the tone for the entire day and must reflect discipline, commitment and a sense of purpose. He directed that morning assemblies be conducted with full enthusiasm, incorporating moral and value-based education as an essential component.

Emphasising structured academic functioning, the Director made it clear that all teaching-learning activities should be carried out in an organised manner and strictly as per the academic calendar prescribed by the department.

In a firm directive, Wani instructed all Zonal Education Officers across the Kashmir division to ensure 100 per cent inspection of schools under their jurisdiction and submit weekly reports to the Directorate without fail.

The Directorate reiterated its commitment to strengthening accountability, improving academic standards and fostering a disciplined, value-driven educational environment across all schools in the region, officials added. (KNS)
