The district administration Kulgam has retrieved and revived the glory of 70 Years old pond in Pehlu area of South Kashmir’s Kulgam district.
The work of the pond was inaugurated by DC Kulgam Dr Bilal Mohi-Ud-Din along with ACD Kulgam Muhammad Imran Khan accompanied by other officials.
On this occasion ACD Kulgam added that all neglected old ponds and streams will be revived and pure drinking water will be supplied to people.
Meanwhile the efforts of the administration has been widely hailed by the locals as the pond will be a sources of Fresh and Pure drinking water for thousands of households in the adjoining area.
However PHE officials have also assured that they will recommend installation of filtration plant at the same place to ensure the safe and pure drinking water to people.
