Srinagar, October 28: Divisional Commissioner Kashmir, Anshul Garg, has extended an open invitation to tourists to experience the beauty of Kashmir this winter, assuring that the administration is fully prepared to facilitate smooth services and vibrant winter tourism across the Valley.
Speaking to reporters at Lal Chowk, Srinagar, Garg said that winter is a recurring feature of life in Kashmir, and with every passing year, the administration enhances its readiness to meet seasonal challenges.
“The Chief Secretary has issued specific directions for winter preparedness. Divisional and district teams are regularly visiting the field to review arrangements on the ground,” he said.
He further stated that comprehensive systems have been put in place — from control rooms to snow clearance operations — to ensure uninterrupted services during snowfall.
Highlighting the government’s focus on tourism, the Divisional Commissioner said efforts are underway to give a strong push to winter tourism this season. “We warmly invite tourists from across the country and abroad to visit Kashmir. All major destinations are fully equipped to welcome visitors and provide them with a comfortable stay,” he added.
Garg also noted that dedicated helplines and snow-clearance mechanisms have been activated to ensure hassle-free travel and public movement throughout the Valley.
