Div Com reviews arrangements for Civil Services Exam 2020

Divisional Commissioner Jammu, Sanjeev Verma today reviewed the arrangements for conduct of Civil Services (Preliminary) Examination 2020, here at a meeting with concerned officers.

Pertinent to mention here that the Civil Services Examination 2020(Preliminary), is going to be held on October 4, 2020. As many as 27 examination centers have been designated in Jammu for smooth conduct of the examination.

The Divisional Commissioner constituted a committee of officers and asked the concerned officers to put in place all necessary arrangements for receiving examination material besides delivery of the same to examination centers. He asked the police authorities for providing adequate squads with the vehicles having examination material.

The Divisional Commissioner also asked the Jammu Municipal Corporation to sanitize/ fumigate the examination centers day before and after the examination.

In view of covid-19 pandemic, the Div Com stressed that wearing face masks would be mandatory in the examination centre. He also asked the concerned supervisors to ensure display of seating arrangements at 5 different locations to avoid crowds at examination centers. He also asked them to make arrangements of hand sanitizers at each centre and arrange sitting keeping in view the Covid protocols.

The Divisional Commissioner also asked the Jal Shakti and JPDCL to provide uninterrupted water and power supply to examination centers. He also asked the Police authorities to deploy adequate police personnel at examination centers for smooth conduct of Civil Services (Preliminary) Examination 2020.

The meeting was attended by Assistant Commissioner Central, Additional Deputy Commissioner Jammu besides senior officers of UPSC, Police, Post Office, Security, Traffic, PSC, Garages, examination Supervisors and other concerned officers.
