Divisional Commissioner, Sanjeev Verma, today convened a meeting of Deputy Commissioners to review progress on roads in the districts being constructed under Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana (PMGSY).
The meeting was attended by Chief Engineer PMGSY, Manzoor Hussain; Deputy Director Planning, Mahak Gupta and other concerned while Deputy Commissioners of Doda, Kishtwar and Ramban along with other concerned officers attended the meeting through video conferencing.
The DCs apprised the Div Com of work progress on different roads in their respective districts besides informing about the total length achieved so far and future work plan.
The Div Com sought details of availability of labour, material for construction of these roads in the districts.
The Div Com asked the Engineers to expedite the pace of work on all PMGSY roads for timely completion of road projects besides DCs were asked to monitor the work progress.
The Div Com asked the concerned to set weekly/monthly targets of work and share the progress on regular basis.
