Divisional Commissioner Jammu, Sanjeev Verma, along with District Magistrate Samba, Rohit Khajuria, today visited various villages of Samba district including Birpur, Vijaypur and Samba to review status of state land in the district.
Sub Divisional Magistrate, Vijaypur, C P Kotwal, District Information Officer, Ajay Sharma, representatives of JDA, Revenue Department and other officials were also present on the occasion.
Divisional Commissioner visited Birpur, Pekhri, Vijaypur and Samba to ascertain the ground position with regard to state land. He directed Revenue Department to expedite the construction of boundary walls around every state land in the district. He stressed upon JDA representatives to demarcate their land immediately and put a state land sign board there.
Div Com directed the concerned to retrieve state land under private holdings besides ensuring proper updation of revenue record.
He visited state land site and asked the authorities to properly demark state boundaries by installing fencing and boundary walls.
