Dr. Abid felicitates JKAACL artists at Tagore Hall

Secretary Tourism and Culture, Dr. Syed Abid Rasheed Shah today felicitated various artists of Jammu and Kashmir Academy of Art, Culture, and Languages (JKAACL) at Tagore Hall here.

The felicitation ceremony was organised by JKAACL for artists who gave an exceptional cultural presentation at Raj Bhavan, Srinagar, in honour of President of India, Smt. Dhroupadi Murmu.

While distributing certificates of excellence to each artist, Dr. Abid said that the government is committed to promote and support Art and Artists, Culture and Languages of Jammu and Kashmir.

Pertinently, the young and talented artists from Jammu and Kashmir, performed Gojri, Pahari, Dogri, Gaddi and Paddari Folk Dances, Jagrana and Bhand Pather at Raj Bhavan recently. The President and Lieutenant Governor had applauded artists for their outstanding performance and presentation of Jammu and Kashmir’s cultural heritage.

The event was attended by the Additional Secretary of Cultural Academy, Sanjeev Rana, along with other officials from the J&K Academy of art culture and Languages. The cultural program presented in front of in the President of India received immense appreciation from all esteemed guests in attendance.
