Srinagar, Sept 10: National Conference President Dr. Farooq Abdullah on Tuesday squarely blamed the Lieutenant Governor for the deteriorating situation in Doda district. He said the worsening conditions were a direct result of the LG’s policies, stressing that the entire security system in Jammu and Kashmir operates under the Lieutenant Governor’s command.

“This is the Lieutenant Governor’s game. The security system is in his hands, therefore he is responsible for the situation in Doda,” Dr. Abdullah said.

Responding to a query on whether a special session of the Assembly should be convened, the former Chief Minister remarked that such a decision rests with the Speaker of the House.
