Srinagar | Monday, 28th August, 2017: National Conference President Dr. Farooq Abdullah and Working President Mr. Omar Abdullah have felicitated the people on the auspicious occasion of the Urs of Ameer-e-Kabeer, Shah-e-Hamdan (RA) and prayed for peace and prosperity in the State.
Dr. Farooq Abdullah and Mr. Omar Abdullah while highlighting the immense and unparalleled contributions and legacy of Ameer-e-Kabeer, Shah-e-Hamdan (RA) said Shah-e-Hamdan (RA)’s role in spreading education, enlightenment and peace in the State formed the bedrock of our society’s cultural and religious identity. Dr. Farooq Abdullah and Mr. Omar Abdullah said it was because of Shah-e-Hamdan (RA)’s vision that the State became a hub of handicrafts of global fame and repute – an era which formed the basis of Kashmir’s rise towards economic self-sustenance and well-being.
