Dr Farooq , Omar Abdullah pay glowing tributes to Hazrat Imam Hussain (AS) and his associates

Srinagar, Aug 09 : The Jammu and Kashmir National Conference President and Member of Parliament from Srinagar Dr Farooq Abdullah and Vice President (VP) Omar Abdullah on Monday paid rich and glowing tributes to Hazrat Imam Aali Makam (AS) and his companions who sacrificed their lives for upholding the principles of truth and uprightness. In his message, Dr. Farooq said, “On Ashura, which marks the supreme sacrifice of Hazrat Imam Aaali Mukam (AS), I urge the younger generation to learn from the incomparable qualities that were in the personality of Hazrat Imam Hussain (AS). The grand-son of Prophet of Islam (PBUH), Hazrat Imam Husain (AS) sacrificed his life, along with his family members and associates for the sake of the cardinal principles laid down by Holy messenger of Islam (PBUH),” adding, “The martyrs of Karbala will be remembered till eternity for their fight against injustice, oppression.”Omar Abdullah in his message said, “The supreme sacrifice rendered by Imam Hussain (AS) and his companions at Karbala would continue to remind mankind about the futility of falsehood and deceit and ultimate victory of truth and righteousness. I hope and pray that the day inspires us to take the path of devotion and commitment to the cause of truth despite manifest difficulties and hardships.”Among others General Secretary Ali Muhammad Sagar, Additional general Secretary Dr Mustafa Kamal, Provincial President Nasir Aslam Wani, Chief Spokesperson Tanvir Sadiq, Senior Leaders Mubarak Gul, Aga Syed Ruhullah Mehdi, Aga Syed Mehmood, Party MPs Muhammad Akbar Lone, Hasnain Masoodi have also paid rich and glowing to Hazrat Imam Hussain Aali Makam (AS) and his associates.
