Continuing its efforts of e-learning initiatives, Principal Secretary, School Education, Dr Asgar Samoon today distributed tablets among the meritorious students of Jammu and Kashmir.

Ten students were selected from each district on the basis of merit obtained in previous session of 8th, 10th and 11th classes.
While distributing the tablets among the students, Dr Samoon encouraged students to focus on education and advised them to make their best use.

He said that the main focus of the government is to reach out to the student community through the use of technology.
He said that this is the beginning and the government wants to distribute more tablets in the future so that our students will have an easy access to their studies at all times.

Students after receiving the tablets thanked the government for its student friendly initiatives and said that that the gadget will help them in the study during lockdown and normal situations.

While emphasizing the need for community classes in these testing times, he directed for identification of teachers at the village or mohalla level who would reach out to the students in their locality while taking care of all the health care guidelines.
