Srinagar, July 02 : With a strong commitment to environmental protection and sustainable development, Chairperson of J&K Waqf Board, Dr. Syed Darakhshaan Andrabi on Thursday participated in a plantation drive in the Eidgah area under the ongoing mission to build a cleaner, greener, and healthier Jammu & Kashmir.

Addressing the gathering, she said that safeguarding the environment is among the most important responsibilities of our time and that every planted tree is an investment in the future.

She emphasized that expanding green spaces will not only improve environmental quality and ecological balance but will also leave a healthier and more prosperous legacy for future generations.

“Waqf Board is committed to greaner and cleaner campuses throughout Jammu and Kashmir & we are working continuously for improving the green cover at all our sites and shrines”, said Waqf Chairperson. Dr. Andrabi urged people, especially the youth, to transform environmental awareness into public action and contribute collectively towards making Jammu & Kashmir cleaner, greener, more beautiful, and pollution-free.

She reaffirmed that meaningful change begins with collective effort and every citizen has a vital role in preserving the natural heritage of Jammu & Kashmir.
