Taking strong notice of some incidents of the beating of students Director School Education Kashmir Dr. G.N. Itoo has directed all teaching fraternity to maintain a friendly relationship with the students and provide them a cordial environment.

Pertinently DSEK has received some reports about the beating of students with the stick at some Institutions which has a drastic negative psychological and physical impact on the students, an official statement issued to said.

The senior officers of the Department have taken serious note of the incidents and in this regard Director School Education Kashmir Dr. G.N. Itoo has issued a circular according to which teachers have given strict instructions not to resort to corporal punishment to the students under any circumstances, the statement said.

It is mentioned in the circular that the teachers have been given instructions from time to time in this regard. But today it is once again enjoined upon all the concerned that any such incident comes to the notice of the Directorate, the stern action shall be taken against such elements, the statement said.

Director School Education has requested all the concerned to bring into the notice of the Directorate if any such incident occurs somewhere so that students can be saved from the negative psychological effects, the statement added.
