Dy CM conducts extensive tour of Lasjan–Sumerbugh areas

SRINAGAR, OCTOBER 08: Deputy Chief Minister, Surinder Choudhary today conducted an extensive tour of the Lasjan–Sumerbugh area and took stock of various public issues in these areas.

MLA Chadoora, Ali Mohammad Dar; Chief Engineer R&B, senior officers of PW (R&B) department and other officers also accompanied the Deputy CM during the tour.

During the visit, the Deputy Chief Minister interacted with several public delegations who apprised him of various local issues related to road connectivity and infrastructure.

He directed the Chief Engineer to immediately start work on the Lasjan–Kadlabal road, which is being upgraded at an estimated cost of ₹11 crores by way of the rigid pavement.

Deputy Chief Minister directed the concerned officers to complete the pending work by November ending so that the road can be dedicated for general public use by December.
He further instructed the concerned officers to ensure the timely completion of the Seer–Sumerbugh bridge by 15th December.

Deputy Chief Minister reiterated the government’s commitment to strengthening road infrastructure and ensuring time-bound completion of all ongoing developmental projects for the convenience of the public.

He also inspected the ongoing macadamization at Wanabal- Nowgan road and instructed the concerned XEN to check the standard of material to maintain the quality of road.
