SRINAGAR, MAY 15 2020

As a part of drive against Illicit cultivation of Poppy crops, the enforcement wing of Excise and commercial Tax (ECT) department destroyed illicit poppy crop spread over 48 kanals of land in village Patal Bagh & Lethpora of Tehsil Pampore, District Pulwama, Village Hayar & Takibal in Tehsil Bijebehara, District Anatnag and Village Wachi of Tehsil Zanipora, District Shopian. In total, Illicit Poppy crop on 174 kanals of land has been destroyed in South Kashmir so far.

The eradication drive shall continue till all illicit poppy crop in Kashmir valley is destroyed, the statement issued by the department said.
