ED attaches Rs 2.6 cr assets of Rekhis, Gandotra

The Enforcement Directorate today ordered provisional attachment of the properties of Suresh Kumar Rekhi, who has already been prematurely retired from the services by the Government, his wife Kumud Rekhi and Satish Kumar Gandotra after establishing that assets were disproportionate to known sources of legal income.

The immovable properties of the trio provisionally attached by the Enforcement Directorate today include a Farm House at Chouhan Enclave near MK Farms at village Tarore in Sarore area constructed over eight kanals 10 marlas of land by Rekhis which include two kanals of land of Gandotra.

Two kanals and three marlas land which is other than land of Farm House and is part of eight kanal 13 marlas land owned by Kumud Rekhi in Patwar Halqa Smailpur has also been attached as the ED said it was also proceeds of crime. One kanal and two marla land situated in Channi Himmat Jammu in the name of Kumud Rekhi was also attached.

“Investigations revealed that Flat Unit No. PVC0091104 at Wish Town, Jay Pee Greens in Sector 128 at Noida Uttar Pradesh allotted in the name of Kumud Rekhi and under her possession and two kanals land of Satish Kumar Gandotra, which is part of Farm House of both Suresh Kumar Rekhi and Kumud Rekhi since 22.10.2013 are also proceeds of crime and have been attached,” the ED said.

It put the value of Sarore Farm House of Rekhis, two kanals, three marla land and two kanal land of Gandotra at Rs 1.57 crore, land at Bhalla Enclave at Channi Himmat at Rs 44 lakh and Noida flat at Rs 59.15 lakh totaling Rs 2.6 crore.

The Enforcement Directorate has taken disproportionate assets as proceed of crime and ordered their provisional attachment.

Rekhi was posted as DGM J&K Projects Construction Corporation Limited before being prematurely retired by the Government.
