SRINAGAR , Nov.03, 2023 : ELFA International in collaboration with the Department of English, Government College for Women, Parade Ground, Jammu,  organized a Two day Workshop highlighting the theme of , “Effective Communication, Conflict Resolution, Negotiations and Leadership Skills” from 2nd of November, 2023 to 3rd of November, 2023. The workshop aimed at honing the effective communication, conflict resolution, negotiation & leadership skills among the students. Mr.Mehran Khan ( CEO, ELFA International) was the resource person on the occasion, who enlightened students with his experience in the field. A formal welcome address was presented by Mavi Sapolia from M.A English Literature. The two day workshop was an amalgamation of didactic activities and resourceful presentations which kept the audience hooked and infused in them new skills and learning experience.

The first day of the workshop started with Mr. Mehran, the resource person on the occasion, acquainting the attendees with the subject topics of effective communication and Leadership & Conflict Resolution. He further elucidated the topic by explaining the mechanism of self-confidence, resilience, commitment and the power of initiating an action.  He amplified the theoretical part with real life stories to further ignite the spirit of confidence and will in the audience. 

Prof Indu Kilam (Senior Adviser, Board Member and Mentor of ELFA International) took the participants through a wonderful learning journey. In her inaugural address, she motivated the students to continue their endeavours and further interacted with the students on other topics of importance. The students shared their experience of day one of the workshop and gave their hearty feedback. After the ceremony, the second session of the workshop started with the same zeal and excitement. The participants enjoyed and acquired new insight during the resource person’s presentation. 

 The program concluded with a formal vote of thanks, presented by Head of Department of English, Mrs Ritu Magotra where she expressed her gratitude to the resource person as well as the audience for their keen attention and participation. The faculty members included Dr Anju Bala , Dr Samriti , Dr Anuradha, Dr Shivani Suri, Dr Seema, Dr Sonia Khajuria,  Dr Menka, Dr Himanshi, Prof Nusrat Chowdhury, Prof Jagmeet from the English Department.
