Encounter underway between SF’s and terrorists in Macchil sector of Kupwara

An exchange of fire was reported in the Kumkari area between security forces and terrorists in Machil sector of Kupwara district of North Kashmir, officials said.

The officials said  exchange of fire took place between the forces and the terrorists early this morning. “The operation is still ongoing in the Kumari area, which is close to the Line of Control in Kupwara,” they said.

Pertinently, on Wednesday a foreign terrorist was killed in the district in an encounter.
