Gulmarg May 02 : On the directions of higher authorities regarding traffic violations including overcharging and wrong parking,CEO Gulmarg and a joint team of Motor Vehicle department ,Traffic Department , Municipality and Police today launched enforcement drive in Gulmarg and Tangmarg to curb such problems for convenience of visiting tourists and locals visiting gulmarg.
The enforcement drive was carried out to encourage active engagement from the community, including pedestrians, and public transport users in promoting a culture of responsibility and adherence to traffic laws.
During the drive the team checked hundreds of vehicles and also imposed Challans of Rs 45000 to many offenders for wrong parking and other traffic violations.
CEO Gulmarg said that today’s enforcement drive was part of measures to address issues such as overcharging,illegal parking, traffic flow management, and pedestrian safety .In upcoming days Two days Scheduled for Enforcement drive to curb such practices so that tourists visiting gulmarg don’t face any inconvenience.
