Erratic power supply adds to summer woes of people in kashmir division: Arif laigroo

Srinagar June 13 PDP Ex state secretary youth and constuiency incharge Arif laigaroo on Tuesday said that the prolonged outages have crippled normal life as a severe power crisis has gripped Kashmir division.
Expressing concern over the worst summer power crises in decades in kashmir laigaroo said, “Over the past fortnight, most parts of the Kashmir division have received electricity supply only for about four hours daily that too in intervals ranging between 15 minutes and half an hour. The rising mercury, and unscheduled power cuts in several parts of kashmir province have started affecting residents badly. Those who can afford generators or inverters are depending upon them, while others, who form a majority, have no other option but to bear the scorching weather. Such a crisis has never been witnessed in the last three decades. There is no respite to people on any account,” laigaroo said.
He further said the administration’s “nonchalant attitude” had compounded the predicaments of people in wake of the worst ever power crisis in kashmir!
