Ex-gratia relief under J&K Road Accident Victim Fund-2022 provided to NoKs of victims at Kupwara

Under J&K Road Accident Victim Fund-2022, Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC), Kupwara, M Rouf Rehman today handed over a cheque of Rs.1 lakh as ex-gratia relief to the Next of Kin (NoK) of deceased person who died in a road accident at National Highway Matipora Drugmulla.

The objective of J&K Road Accident Victim Fund 2022 is to provide immediate succor to the dependents/ legal heirs of the persons killed/ injured in road accidents in passenger cum private vehicles.

Earlier last week, the District Level Committee headed by Deputy Commissioner Kupwara, Ayushi Sudan sanctioned the ex-gratia relief in favour of the NoK from Kalaroose who lost their son in a road accident.

Meanwhile, the Deputy Commissioner stressed upon the committee members to ensure speedy disposal of the cases relating to death/injury in road accidents so that the dependents are provided compensation under the J&K Road Accident Victim Fund rules.

ARTO Kupwara was present on the occasion.
