MOTHER
A mother who always cares,
A mother who’s always there
When we are in need,
A mother who always prays
And stays with us firm
When things get rough
When life gets tough,
When all is just too much too bear,
God’s word she shares
God’s light she wears,
So blessed God made this mother mine.

DEPRESSION IN TEENAGERS
Depression is the most widespread mental illness in today’s society. Today’s teenagers are adversely facing depression. Depression is a common and serious medical illness that negatively affects how you feel the way you think and how you act.
Depression causes feelings of sadness and or a loss of interest in activities one enjoyed. It can lead to a variety of emotional and physical problems. For teens a stressful home environment or neighborhood, poverty and violence can lead to depression. Depression may also affect the school and family lives of teenagers. Studies have found that 1 out of 8 teens are affected with this disease. According to the centers for disease control and prevention (CDC), 7.6 percent of people over the age 12 have depression. Also, according to the World Health Organization (WHO), depression is the most common worldwide illness. They estimate that 350 million people are affected by depression globally.
Though, depression is a treatable mental illness. There are a number of things people can do to help reduce the symptoms of depression. For many people regular exercise helps them to create positive feeling and improve their mood. Getting enough quality of sleep on regular basis and eating a healthy diet can also help reduce the symptoms of depression.
So, be positive as it is rightly said by someone, that, “WINNERS ARE NOT PEOPLE WHO NEVER FAIL BUT WHO NEVER QUIT”. Never give up!

ADOLESCENTS AND MOBILE
Internet is very useful for a variety of purposes, such as rapid sharing of information, contact with friends and relatives, emotional support etc.
But smart phones should not be used too much or we get addicted to it. Adolescents are at a high risk of getting addicted to smart phones. They regard smart phones as their second half. Even many of them have reported that they can’t live without mobile phones.
Adolescents undergo many mental and physical changes. They are depended on their parents for everything but on the other hand they try to be independent of their families, they try to make new space, not in their home but cyber world. During this stage smart phones become indispensable for them. They are interested in new technology and gets used to these devices more easily than adults do. They express their mental condition, opinions and feelings on social media, try to keep up with fashion, use many kinds of applications and search for emotional relationships and support.
They do not get time from their parents. As a result they get addicted to smart phones. So, it’s a request to parents to please give time to their children.
I finally realized that people are prisoners of their phones, that’s why they are called cell phones.
