Renowned physician of North Kashmir, Dr Haji Atiqullah, passed away in Srinagar after a brief illness. He was widely respected for his dedicated medical service to the people of Sopore and adjoining areas.
Dr Atiqullah was the father of leading Kashmiri Medical Oncologist, Dr Shad Salim Akhtar.
His Namaz-e-Janazah was offered at Shah Anwar Colony, Hyderpora, Srinagar, and later at Sopore Eidgah. The deceased has been laid to rest in his ancestral Kabristan in Sopore.
Condolence gatherings will be held at Shah Anwar Colony, Hyderpora, Srinagar, while Fateha Khawani will be observed at Sopore on Saturday.
