Expresses unison with bereaved, pray for early recovery of the injured
National Conference President Dr Farooq Abdullah and Vice President Mr Omar Abdullah today expressed deep shock and grief over the deaths in a tragic and unfortunate road accident in Thathri.
The President and the Vice President conveyed their condolences to the bereaved families and prayed for peace to the departed souls.
Expressing grief over the heart rendering incident, Dr Farooq said “I am saddened by the loss of 14 precious lives in the Thathri road accident. My sympathies and condolences are with the bereaved. I pray for eternal peace to the departed souls,” he said. He also prayed for the early recovery of the injured.
Omar Abdullah in his message has also expressed deep anguish over the loss of lives in the fatal accident. “The precious lives that were devoured in the fatal accident add to the tally of numerous others, who had also lost their lives in the region, prone to such unfortunate fatalities. Can well imagine the unfathomable pain and agony the bereaved households must be going through. I share in their grief. I also pray for peace to the deceased and speedy recovery to the injured. The administration should ensure best medical treatment to the injured,” he said.
Besides General Secretary Mr Ali Mohammad Sagar, Dr Mustafa Kamaal Additional General Secretary, Party Treasurer Shammi Oberoi, Ajay Kumar Sadhotra Central Secretary and Provincial Presidents Rattan Lal Gupta, Nasir Aslam Wani the senior leaders of the party also condoled the deaths, conveyed condolences to the bereaved families and prayed for peace to the departed souls. They include Sheikh Bashir Ahmed, Qazi Jalal Ud Din, Brij Mohan Sharma, Khalid Najeeb Suharwardy, Sajjad Ahmed Kichloo, Dr Bashir Veeri, Ali Mohammad Dar, Imran Nabi Dar, Tanveer Ahmed Kichloo, Mushtaq Hap, Imtiyaz Zargar, Mehboob Iqbal, Showkat Ganaie, Zaffarullah Rather, Thakur Bachitar Singh, Pyare Lal Sharma, Tanveer Babzada, Iqbal Bhat, Dr. Chaman Lal, Sajjad Shaheen and Arif Mir.
