Father electrocuted, son injured in Baramulla

An elderly man was electrocuted to death while repairing an electric water pump in Binner area of north Kashmir’s Baramulla district on Satu Saturday. However his son also got injured while trying to save his father.

The deceased has been identified as Abdul Rehman Sheikh (65) who sustained severe electric shocks when he was repairing an electric water pump resulting his on spot death. The deceased was former employee of PDD.

While his son Ashiq Ahmad Sheikh who went to save his father also sustained critical injuries, and was refferred to GMC Baramulla for medical treatment. His condition as per medicos is stated to be stable.

Meanwhile the concern police officer of the area confirmed the incident amd said case under relevant sections of law has been registered.
