Favouritism in Covid-19 testing, allege quarantined people

People who returned from Goa some two weeks ago today alleged that dilly dally tactics are being adopted in declaring their test results.

Over 80 persons have been put under quarantine in two hotels here in Dalgate area of Srinagar city. All these reyurned from Goa on 14 May this month. Goa has already been declared a green zone where no case of Coronavirus has been found so for.

Some of the Goa returnee told News Agency that that even after spending 10 days at Qurantine Centresafter returning from Goa, authorities are not revealing the status of their reports.

“Our samples were taken for Covid-19 on May 20 but reports are still awaited. The samples taken on May 21 and 22 have been tested and all declared negative, but our samples taken prior to these samples have not been tested. We are being asked to wait from past three days,” they said.

They said they were hopeful of celebrating Eid with the family, but unfortunately they didn’t get the test results.

“We appeal authorities to reveal our test results without any delay,” they said and alleged that there is lot of favouritism in Covid testing.( KNT )
