With bright sunlight and rise in temperature, after a long spell of haze engulfing the atmosp here in Srinagar, today’s session brought in a large number of literary enthusiast to the guild office. Presence of Prof. Syeda Afshana , Kashmir University faculty member, and author/ thinker Dr. Maroof Shah in the presidium added grace to the occasion. Large number of youngsters added sheen and an element of encouragement for the organizers who have been striving hard to add more and more youth to the literary organization.
The session was spread over an introductory segment ‘Fiction Tehreer ‘ presented by Taha Mughal . His write up was titled “How Will A I Affect The Future of Fiction “ . His write up was liked by one and all and received accolades from the audience .
Urdu short story was presented by Dr.Rafia Wali. The story is titled “ Swarg say Narak Tak” . The story went under discussion for various aspects like story line, treatment , language , time line and the discussion was intelligently summed up by the presidium with a detailed analysis.
Kashmiri short story was read out by Dr. Shahzada Saleem. The story titled “Rama Hoon “ evoked deep discussion for various elements of story writing. The poignance was a major factor in the story and the author received suggestions as well as encouraging words from the partiicipants . This story again was analysed in detail by the presidium.
During the discussions couple of members raised some questions which were explained / replied to at the end.The guild management received some of the suggestions for improving the working of the organization which was responded positively by them .
During the session Urdu short story collection titled “Gard e Shab e Khayal ” ,authored by young writer Fazil Shafi Bhat, was released.
Mr.Niaz Bhat conducted the session efficiently.
