Srinagar, Aug 15 : The Jammu and Kashmir administration on Saturday announced the Chief Minister’s Award for Honesty, Integrity & Meritorious Public Service-2026 for five officers, recognising their contribution to governance and public administration in the Union Territory.
An order issued by the General Administration Department (GAD) accessed news agency Kashmir News Service (KNS) reads the awardees include Mr Kuldeep Krishan Sidha, JKAS, Director of Archives, Archaeology & Museums; Mr Anil Sharma, JKAS, Additional Resident Commissioner at the J&K Government office in New Delhi; and Mr Amit Vermani, JKAS, Additional Secretary in the GAD.
Prof Naseer Iqbal, Registrar of the University of Kashmir, Srinagar, and Er Sami-Ullah Beigh, Superintending Engineer (UEED) with the Jal Shakti/PHE RWS Division, Ganderbal, are the other recipients, the order said.
Each awardee will receive a cash prize of Rs 51,000 along with a Citation, it added.
The award, instituted to honour honesty and integrity in public service, is conferred annually on Independence Day. (KNS)
