Flash floods Damage famous Daand Kadal in Langate

Flashfloods have caused significant damage to the Daand Kadal in Langate area of north Kashmirs Kupwara district.

According to officials “The bridge, located over the Mawer Nallah, was partially damaged due to the force of the floodwaters.”

This is a major blow to the infrastructure of the area , as the Langate bridge (Daand Kadal) was a key link connecting several villages in the area.

Local authorities have urged residents to exercise caution and avoid crossing the Nallah until alternative arrangements can be made. The extent of the damage to the bridge is still being assessed, and it is unclear when repairs will be completed.

It is note here that this is the second bridge collapsed over nalah is the past three years due to illegal mining.
