Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha On Friday reviewed COVID situation in J&K with Health officials, DCs & SPs.

Among others, he stressed on need to further increase testing in the areas where more cases are being reported.

“Today reviewed COVID situation in J&K UT with Health officials, DCs & SPs. Discussed the steps taken to tackle surge in cases. Authorities on the ground should focus more on local containment to safeguard public health and momentum of economic activities,” he said in a tweet, adding, “Vaccination will continue to be the most effective tool to fight pandemic. Our focus is to saturate precautionary doses to frontline workers and senior citizens. We need to further increase testing in the areas where more cases are being reported.”
