A foreign skier died and four others were rescued after an avalanche hit the ski resort Gulmarg in north Kashmir’s Baramulla district on Friday, officials said.

Jammu and Kashmir Police has identified the dead skier from Russia.
“One Russian skier has come under avalanche in Gulmarg and died on spot. 04 more skiers of the group rescued,” JK police wrote on social networking website, Twitter.
