Former Congress leader Irfan Abid Kullar along with his supporters joined PDP

Srinagar, April 18 : People’s Democratic Party (PDP) President Mehbooba today welcomed former Congress leader Irfan Abid (Kullar) into the party.
A prominent political leader from South Kashmir’s Pahalgam constituency, Irfan along with his supporters joined the People’s Democratic Party at the residence of PDP President Mehbooba Mufti.
Expressing his desire to serve the people, advocating the cause of downtrodden Irfan said that people of Pahalgam have always had a special place and a bond with PDP and its leadership which will inspire us every day to reciprocate the love and shoulder the responsibilities.
“PDP provides an effective and viable platform to render such services. The leadership of Mehbooba Mufti and PDP’s political ideology is a combination that inspires upcoming political activists to change the fate of the state,” he said.
Welcoming the move, Mehbooba said that dynamic political leaders like Irfan should strengthen political institutions of consequence.
“Potential of such activists can rightly be channelized in an adequate manner for public good. However, this is possible only in a conducive atmosphere for change which PDP is striving for,” Mehbooba said.
