Four Baramulla residents booked under PSA for anti-national activities: Police

Jammu and Kashmir Police on Friday said that they have booked four persons under Public Safety Act (PSA) for being involved in anti- national activities in North Kashmir’s Baramulla district.

A Police spokesperson said, “Acting tough against ANEs Baramulla Police booked four persons namely Javaid Hussain Yatoo S/o Farooq Ahmad Yatoo R/o Goshbugh, Pattan, Baramulla, Jan Nisar Khaliq Ganai S/o Abdul Khaliq Ganai R/o Chanderhama, Pattan, Baramulla, Abid Parvaiz Hajam S/O Parvaiz Ahmad Hajam R/O Andergam, Pattan, Baramulla & Nisar Ahmad Wani S/O Lt. Abdul Samad Wani R/o Sultanpora, Pattan, Baramulla under Public Safety Act after obtaining formal detention orders from the competent Authority.

“The booked persons have been detained and subsequently lodged in Central Jail Kot-Balwal Jail Jammu”, he said.

Pertinent to mention that many cases are registered against these persons and were involved in anti-national activities. Despite their involvement in many FIR’s they did not mend their anti national activities.
