Police on Monday seized 04 tippers and arrested four persons for illegal excavation and transportation of minerals in Central Kashmir’s Budgam district.
A Police spokesperson said, ” During patrolling at Aalipora Chadoora, police party of Police Station Chadoora intercepted 04 tippers carrying illegally extracted bed material from Nalla Shaliganga Chadoora. Accordingly, 04 tippers were seized & 4 drivers arrested on spot.”
The arrested drivers were subsequently identified as Abid Hussain Bhat S/o Maqbool Bhat R/o Chadoora, Gulam Muhammad Wani S/o Abdul Kabir R/o Kakawring Charar Sharief, Younis Farooq Yatoo S/o Farooq Ahmad R/o Nagam Chadoora and Shabir Ahmad Bhat S/o Gulam Nabi R/o Dooniwari ,chadoora.
He said that case FIR No.25/2023 under relevant sections of laws has been registered at Police Station Chadoora and investigation taken up.
