Crime Branch Jammu has registered a criminal case under relevant sections of law against one Amrit Pal Singh, son of Sher Singh, resident of Nehianwala District Bathinda (Punjab) & others for hatching a criminal conspiracy and duping complainant of his hard earned money on pretext of providing him a job abroad.
As per an official spokesperson, the complainant namely – Darshan Kumar, son of Mool Raj resident of Tehsil Thathri, District Doda (J&K) was lured through a fake overseas job consultancy namely ‘Expert World Overseas’.
After realizing the reality, a written complaint was lodged by complainant with Crime Branch Jammu, alleging therein that he has been duped of his money by accused Amrit Pal Singh of Expert World Overseas, Consultancy- Street No. 2, Near Katra Sweets, Shah Satnam Ji Chowk, Begu Road, Sirsa-125055 (Haryana). He further told that he came into contact with the company through mobile numbers and believed them to be genuine and trustworthy for helping youth to seek employment abroad. The aforesaid company itself arranged air tickets and fulfilled other formalities of complainant for his job in Kenya without charging any amount initially but when they gave him employment letter, he was made to transfer money in Axis Bank account of suspects towards air tickets and other formalities required for visit. Later, the complainant was surprised to note that the aforesaid company cancelled the air tickets and duped him.”
The official further said that on receipt of this complaint, a preliminary verification was got conducted and it has been prima facie established that the accused one Amrit Pal Singh, in connivance with some other persons, have hatched a criminal conspiracy by opening a fake company under name and style ‘Expert World Overseas’ and cheated the complainant of his hard earned money on the pretext of providing him job in Kenya. “The omissions and commissions on the part of the accused and others prima facie constitute offences punishable under sections 420, 465, 467, 468, 471, 120-B of RPC,” he said, adding that a formal case has been registered for in depth investigation by Crime Branch, Jammu.
