Ganderbal Police on Friday has registered a case against the owner of M/S Sheer-i-Kashmir Construction Pvt. Ltd. for allegedly overcharging tourist vehicles on account of sanitation fee at the SDA Toll Post, Shudkadi, Sonamarg.

Accordingly, Case FIR No. 02/2026 under Section 318(4) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) stands registered at Police Station Sonamarg and further investigation has been taken up to ascertain the full extent of the alleged illegal collection.

Ganderbal Police reiterates its commitment to safeguarding the rights of tourists and the general public. Any individual or agency found indulging in illegal or unauthorized extra fare charges will be dealt with strictly as per law. Such unlawful practices will not be tolerated under any circumstances.
