The students of Government Degree College Vijaypur brought laurels by bagging five medals including two gold medals and three silver medals in inter-college sports competition organized by University of Jammu.
The College won the medals in the kick-boxing championship/tournament. Overall in all the sports championships GDC Vijaypur clinched second best rank in inter-College Sports Meet.
Vivek Rai of semester V bagged Gold medal in 63kg weight category; Aditiya Rai of semester V bagged Gold medal in 64kg weight category; Parul Singh Narania of semester V won Silver medal in 66kg weight category; Akash Sharma of semester V won Silver medal in 57kg weight category; Vansh Sharma of semester V won Silver medal in 50kg weight category.
Kavya Charak of semester V and Rupaank Aryan of semester III won first position each in Painting Competition and Essay Writing Competition in Divisional Level Competition organized by GCW Parade, Jammu on the eve of JK-UT Foundation Day 2023.
Principal of the College, Dr. Vandana Gupta congratulated all the members of Sports committee, Cultural Committee and other staff members of the college and all the participants who brought medals and positions to the college.
