A 17-year-old girl attempted to commit suicide by consuming poisonous substance at her home in Ganiwan Kangan area of Central Kashmir’s Ganderbal district.

Sources told the news agency that the girl (name withheld) consumed some poisonous substance at her home and was immediately rushed to nearby hospital where from she was referred to SKIMS Soura in a critical condition where she succumbed.

The official said that it was not immediately known as to why she took this extreme step. ( KNO )
