Girl dies, 12 injured in 3 different road accidents in South Kashmir

A teen-age girl riding a Scooty died in a road accident in Kapran Verinag area of South Kashmir’s Anantnag district on Monday.

The victim has been identified as Insha Jan daughter of Abdul Rashid Bhat of Khadar Kapran.

She sustained grievous injuries and was taken to hospital where doctors declared her dead.

Police took cognizance of the incident and registered a case under relevant sections of law.

Meanwhile, two persons were critically injured after a bike collided with a Maruti on Srinagar-Anantnag Higway near Charsoo.

In another accident, a Taveera vehicle (JK22-8298) and Load Carrier (JK03D-7529) collided with each other in Seer Hamdan area of Anantnag, resulting in injuries to 10 persons.

The injured were shifted to Sub-district Hospital Seer, where doctors referred 4 persons to district Hospital Anantnag for specialized treatment. (KNT)
