Governor N. N. Vohra has conveyed his greetings on the auspicious occasion of Nauroz, which is also observed as World Arbour Day.
In his message of felicitations, Governor has observed that this festival has important cultural and religious significance and appealed to one and all to join hands in planting trees for saving our rapidly deteriorating environment.
Governor hoped that this auspicious day would be the harbinger of peace, progress and prosperity in the State.
Chief Minister, Mehbooba Mufti has greeted people of the State on the occasion of Nauroz.
In her message, the Chief Minister hoped the festival which she has religious and cultural significance, becomes harbinger of peace, progress and prosperity for the people of Jammu and Kashmir.
Mehbooba Mufti appealed people to join hands on this day, which marks the beginning of plantation season, in planting more and more trees for preserving the environment.

Director General of Police, Dr. S.P Vaid has greeted the people of the State on Nauroz. He has wished the people a joyful festival.
In his message, Dr. Vaid has expressed hope that the festival will bring joy and happiness among the people of the State including families of police martyrs and J&K police personnel and their families.
Let us pray on this auspicious occasion that peace and prosperity flourish in our State and all the citizens live in a secure and congenial atmosphere, the DGP has further said in his message.
