Govt orders transfer of 7 police officers

The government of Jammu and Kashmir has ordered the transfer of seven police officers in compliance with a directive from the Election Commission of India. These transfers include:

1. Gurinderpal Singh (IPS; AGMUT: 2013) – Posted as Incharge Director of Police, Telecommunication. This transfer relieves Manoj Kumar Pandita, AIG, Training & Policy, of the additional charge.
2. Shobhit Saksena (IPS; AGMUT: 2015) – Posted as Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) (Hqrs) CID, filling a vacancy.
3. Imtiyaz Hussain Mir (JKPS: 1999) – Posted as SSP Srinagar, replacing Ashish Kumar Mishra, IPS, who has been asked to await further posting at Police Headquarters, J&K.
4. Mohd. Zaid (JKPS: 2001) – Posted as SSP Baramulla, taking over from Gurinderpal Singh (IPS).
5. Gh. Jeelani Wani (JKPS: 2001) – Posted as SSP Kupwara, replacing Shobhit Saksena (IPS).
6. Dawood Ayoub (JKPS: 2004) – Posted as SSP (TMG) CID Hqrs, replacing Imtiyaz Hussain Mir (JKPS).
7. Ifroz Ahmad (JKPS: 2004) – Posted as SP Handwara, replacing Dawood Ayoub.

These transfers are effective immediately.
