Govt. regularises 38 I/c Deputy Directors of JKESS as Deputy Directors

In a significant move towards enhancing administrative efficiency, the Jammu and Kashmir Government regularised 38 in-charge Deputy Directors of Jammu and Kashmir Economics and Statistics (Gazetted) Service (JKESS) as Deputy Directors.

As per the order issued by Planning, Development and Monitoring department, the regularisations have been made in respect of these officers in the pay level-11 (67700-208700) with effect from 21.12.2023 as per the recommendations of Departmental Promotion Committee/J&K Public Service Commission.

Secretary, Planning, Development and Monitoring department, Dr. Shahid Iqbal Choudhary said that this decision comes as a part of the government’s continued efforts to streamline the administrative structure and ensure that experienced officials are recognized for their contributions. He added that this step will further strengthen the department and enable it to deliver better services and play a crucial role in policy making through data-driven insights.

He also wished the officers for successful tenure in their new capacity and advised them to contribute significantly in their enhanced roles and responsibilities.
