Govt SPMR College organises awareness program on Traffic Rules and Road Safety

Government SPMR College of Commerce today organised an awareness program on Traffic rules and road safety. The PG (pursuing M Com) students of commerce participated on the stated theme.

The Principal of the College, Dr Surinder Kumar Sharma took initiative to conduct the program. He fostered among the students the imperativeness of traffic rules while driving and encouraged the students to take vow that from now onwards they will abide by traffic rules and norms.The students of the college were shown via powerpoint presentation the ongoing road safety measures to be adopted while driving and to be a civic driver. The program was aimed to educate the youth regarding the traffic norms and to avoid reckless driving. It even divulged that the youth accidents had boosted because of uncivilized driving and had led to rampant loss of young lives, so just by adopting speed control limits and following the traffic rules the human lives could be saved and people can enjoy safe driving.The Convener of Road safety club of the college, Dr Vipul Chalotra gave a presentation on abiding traffic rules wherein a lot of rules pertaining to traffic were demonstrated. The other faculty members present in the program were Dr. Ramandeep Kaur, Dr. Kanwaljeet Kaur, Dr. Ridhi Sharma, Dr. Gurcharan, Dr. Jasvinder singh. Finally, the vote of thanks was presented by Dr Ramandeep Kaur.
