Grenade Blast In Budgam, No Casualty Reported

Militants on Tuesday night hurdled a grenade at Police Station Budgam but no casualty was reported in the incident, officials said.

They said the militant lobbed the grenade at police station around 21:15 hours. The device, they said, exploded outside the gate. However, they said, alert santry fired upon the militant but they managed to escape, taking advantage of the darkness.

They said the area has been cordoned off and searches have been carried to nab the attackers. A police officer told that a case has been registered and further investigations taken up.
